A number of people who find themselves in the criminal justice system suffer not from a criminal predisposition, but chemical dependency. But for being stricken with such dependency, these people would not be dealing with criminal justice issues. Moreover, courts and prosecutors are more likely to be reassured that criminal activity will cease once chemical dependency issues are being adequately addressed. To that end, our panel attorneys have at their disposal social workers to help address issues of chemical dependency in their clients.
